Open and close a cash drawer

Count the float in, count the cash out, and let the till say what should be there.

Open

1. Open Drawer.
2. Count the float. Count by notes and coins adds it up for you; tap Use this count.
3. Tap Open drawer.

Cash sales and cash refunds are now counted against this drawer.

During the day

Print X report shows what the drawer should hold right now, without closing it.

Close

1. Count the cash in the drawer.
2. Type what you counted and close the drawer.
3. The report shows what was expected, what was counted, and the difference.

A drawer somebody left open

A manager can count and close it for them, and says why. It is recorded as closed by the manager.

A drawer belongs to the person who opened it. One drawer, one person, one shift.
