Connect a receipt printer and a cash drawer

Choose the printer on the till itself. The drawer plugs into the printer and opens when cash is taken.

Do this on the tablet that will use the printer. The choice is kept on that device.

Add the printer

Open Till sign-in and find Receipt printer.

• By USB: plug the printer in. If it is not listed, tap Add a USB printer and choose it.
• By Bluetooth: pair the printer in the tablet's own Bluetooth settings first. It then appears in the list.
• On the network: type the printer's address, such as 192.168.1.40, and tap Add a network printer.

Choose the printer in the list. The line reads "This till prints here".

Test it

Tap Test print. A short slip prints and the drawer opens.

The cash drawer

The drawer's cable plugs into the socket on the back of the printer, not into the tablet. It opens by itself when a sale is paid in cash.

With no printer chosen, receipts open in the browser's print window instead.
