What a location needs before it can trade

The checklist at the top of Setup says what is missing and takes you to where it is set.

Open Setup. The first panel reads "Before this location can trade" and counts what is done.

What it checks

• Your business on paper: the name and address printed on every receipt.
• Tax: the rates this location charges.
• A menu or Products: what you sell, with prices.
• The people who work here.
• A till: the tablet at the counter.
• A card reader, paired to that till.

A hotel is asked for rooms and rates instead of a menu. A restaurant with table service is asked for its tables.

How to use it

1. Work down the list. Each line says what is missing in plain words.
2. Where the thing is set on another screen, tap Go on its line.
3. Come back to Setup. The line ticks itself once the thing exists.

When every line is done the panel reads "Ready to trade". It stays there, small, as the first place to look if something is not working.
