Decide what a cashier may do alone

How much a cashier may discount or refund without a manager, and the tip choices a customer is offered.

Open Setup and find What a cashier may do without a manager.

• Take off up to: the largest discount a cashier may give, as a percent. Blank means a cashier asks a manager.
• Refund up to: the largest refund a cashier may give. Blank means a cashier asks a manager.
• Cashiers may mark an item sold out for the day: on unless you turn it off.
• Tip choices the customer is offered: up to four percents, such as 15, 18, 20.

Tap Save limits. The tills follow the new limits at once.

Managers are never limited. Tips are offered to the customer on the card reader, never asked for by the cashier.
