Give a discount

Take a percent or an amount off, and say why.

1. Ring the items.
2. Under Discount, tap a percent, Comp, or type an amount in Amount off.
3. Give the reason. A discount with no reason cannot be rung.
4. Take payment as usual. The tax comes down with the price.

What you may give

A cashier may discount up to the limit the owner set. Above that, a manager signs in and gives it.

A discount is written to the audit trail with who gave it and why.
